Out of the 46 scholarships over a period of 4 years, 24 will be awarded to students from Ethiopia, Liberia and South Africa, with the remaining 22 destined for individuals from Norway.
The Norwegian Scholarships as IE
This initiative is open to Norwegian candidates who demonstrate academic and personal excellence, as well as strong leadership capabilities, and an entrepreneurial mindset. We’re looking for candidates who are seeking a dynamic, global experience, and are passionate about using their insights to positively impact Norway after graduation.
Information on MASTER’S scholarships for Norwegian students
There are five scholarships available per year for MASTER’S students at IE University for one of the following programs (living expenses included):
- Master in Management
- Master in Business Analytics and Big Data
- Master in International Relations
- Master in International Development
For MASTER’S students, the criteria are as follows:
- Be a citizen and/or permanent resident of Norway.
- Wish to undertake a postgraduate degree at IE.
- Have an outstanding academic record, with a minimum GPA of 3.5/4, 4.50/5.
- Demonstrate an international outlook, leadership qualities and a vision to better Norway.
- Proven financial need (preference given).
The Scholarships for African students
This initiative is open to candidates from Ethiopia, Liberia and South Africa who demonstrate academic excellence, strong leadership capabilities and an entrepreneurial mindset. We’re looking for candidates who are seeking a dynamic, global experience, and are passionate about using their insights to positively impact their home countries after graduation.
There are both full and partial scholarships available, including room and board for Master’s programs focused on technology, business and development.

- Be a national of Liberia, Ethiopia or South Africa.
- Have an outstanding academic record, with a minimum GPA of 3.5/4, 4.50/5.
- Can demonstrate outstanding achievements in their personal and professional lives that have had an impact on their country or community.
- Proven financial need (preference given).
